Overview of Petroleum Economic Analysis
As a petroleum engineer and geologist, Chris is highly qualified to economically evaluate oil and gas properties of all types. He has worked with rank wildcats, infill projects, step-outs, mature and initially producing fields, abandoned fields and secondary recovery projects. Chris has a history of accurate evaluations confirmed by actual well data. He attributes this to throughly researching a project, thinking through all aspects of the project throughout the evaluation process and knowledge-based intuition gained from decades of experience.
In order to make an investment decision, the cost of a project must be closely determined and weighed against the recoverable reserves and the rate of production. Chris' operations experience gives him the ability to accurately prepare cost projections for all phases of a project. He also has knowledge and experience related to the economics of regulatory compliance, which can greatly affect the cost of a project or even prohibit an operation.
